If you’re looking for a vegetarian-friendly spot in Batam that offers more than just salad and tofu, Vegetariano Sushi is a must-visit. The menu is incredibly diverse — spanning local delights, Japanese classics, Western comfort food, and fusion dishes that make choosing just one meal nearly impossible!

We tried the Lava Cheese Sushi (gone in seconds!), Okonomiyaki, Oluak, Mala Ramen, Ayam Geprek Rice Bowl, Japanese Curry, Bolognese, Chicken Mentai Rice Bowl, and Hamu Maki. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, but my favourites were definitely the Okonomiyaki and Oluak — generous with fillings and packed with flavour.

One small heads-up: the spice level in Indonesia is no joke 🌶️, so if you’re not used to it, maybe start mild. And the only “downside”? It’s only available in Batam — wish they’d open a branch across the border soon!
