Batu Caves is a famous Hindu holy place in Malaysia, not far from downtown Kuala Lumpur. The biggest feature is the 42-meter-high golden statue of Murugan and the colorful 272 steps.
The stairs are really steep, so be careful when you walk up. After you go up, you can see the spectacular limestone caves and temples. Monkeys often appear at the entrance of the cave. Be careful that they will steal things, so remember to keep them.
The tour guide said that Batu Caves was actually part of the seabed before, so walking in the cave now is like exploring the ocean strata hundreds of millions of years ago, which is super cool!
