Beiwu Park is located in Sijiqing Town, Haidian District, Beijing, right outside the west gate of the Summer Palace.
It covers an area of about 47 hectares. In the 13th year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty, a severe flood occurred in this area. The court sent a fleet to provide disaster relief. The three places where the ships were concentrated were called Beiwu, Zhongwu and Nanwu, and Beiwu Park got its name from this.
At the turn of spring and summer, rape flowers are in full bloom; in autumn, golden rice fields become the highlight, making it a great place to enjoy the rural scenery.
The Xiaojiangnan River, the Jinhe Arch Bridge, and the Miaogao Pagoda on Yuquan Mountain complement the surrounding beautiful scenery and are great places for taking photos.
