Exploring The Palace Museum in Beijing is truly an extraordinary experience, giving me in awe of its historical grandeur & architectural beauty.
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of my Beijing's itinerary bucket-lists, absolutely the highlight of my Beijing trip. I'm literally impressed
by its well-preserved imperial architecture and fascinating history.
The Palace Museum possess vast collection of artifacts, ancient halls, and royal exhibitions (like the Clock Gallery and Treasure Gallery) really impressed history buff like me. Its stunning architecture with the intricate designs, red walls, golden roofs and grand courtyards make for incredible photos.
The Palace Museum is extremely massive (720,000㎡), I'm walking for couple of hours under the sun, sweating a lots and tiring. But this is a majestic window into China’s imperial past, absolutely worth it!
⏩ Great Guided Tours: Hires a guide or using an audio tour enhances understanding of the Ming and Qing dynasties' legacy.
⏩ Book tickets in advanced @ official WeChat/website, coz daily visitor numbers are limited.
⏩ Arrive early (8:30 AM) to avoid crowds and heat.
⏩ Combine with Jingshan Park for a panoramic view of the Forbidden City.
⏩ Bring ID/passport, required for entry.
▶️ 🎫 The entrance ticket to the Palace Museum, (Forbidden City) in Beijing costs 60 RMB during peak season (April to October), and 40 RMB during the off-season (November to March).
🕰️ The Palace Museum is operating daily from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Closed on Monday.
