The Temple of Heaven was one of my favorite surprises in Beijing. It’s not just a beautiful religious site—it’s a living park. I arrived early and saw locals practicing Tai Chi, dancing, and playing music. The iconic Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is stunning, with its deep blue tiles and perfect symmetry. This was where emperors once prayed for bumper crops. The surrounding gardens and pathways are peaceful, perfect for a reflective walk. It’s more than just a photo stop—it’s a place where ancient traditions meet modern daily life. Don’t skip the Echo Wall and the Circular Mound Altar.
