Slide 1-4: Badaling Great Wall Night Tour 夜游八达岭长城
• Though still crowded, the night tour starts at 5-6pm, which means you can catch the sunset and enjoy cooler weather while scaling the wall
• Try to buy packages that include a coach to and from thr wall + entry ticket
• There are food stalls and snacks to buy inside
• Street performances at night such as Cantonese opera and Terracotta soldiers

Slide 5-7: Jingshan Garden 景山公园
• Lovely garden and small hill to climb to see the Forbidden City and a scenic view of Beijing!
• Some stray cats within the garden too, please do not disturb them
• Gorgeous temples
• Path upwards includes an incline and stairs depending on your needs

Slide 8-9: Tiananmen
• Free entry but you will have to book your spot in advance
• Make sure to come earlier than your booked slot because the lines are very long
• Is connected to the metro for easy transportation

Slide 10-13: Summer Palace 颐和园
• Perhaps best to go during the cooler seasons as it gets very humid and hot in the summer
• As it is quite big, you can take the boat service they offer across the river to enjoy the scenery without being too tired, or hire a small boat for yourself and family to paddle across the river as you’d like
• Snacks and souvenirs available within the palace

Slide 14-16: 郎园VINTAGE
• An artist area with lots of individual, small brands, coffee shops, restaurants and displays for taking photos
• Pet friendly, has outdoor playgrounds and sports grounds for kids
• Also connected to a forest where you can cycle in the greenery

Slide 17-20: 798 Art Zone
• Small, individual artists and exhibitions available, good for buying souvenirs, enjoying a nice meal, and shopping
• Displays change seasonally
• Featured exhibitions in this post include a soap museum and Hans Christian Andersen exhibit
