1. Gubei Water Town This is a scenic water-town resort at the foot of the Simatai Great Wall, combining mountain, lake and old-town style architecture.
Location: Gubeikou Town, Miyun County, Beijing.
Fees: Entrance to the water town: ~ CNY 150 for adults. Children under 1.5 m have reduced price; some stay-in guests get free or discounted tickets. Combo ticket with Simatai Great Wall costs ~ CNY 170.
2. The Great Wall of China (Beijing area, e.g., Badaling / Simatai sections)This is the world-famous ancient fortification stretching across northern China, with dramatic views and rich history near Beijing.
Location: Various sections around Beijing; e.g., Badaling ~70 km northwest of the city.

3. Nanshan Ski Resort- A four-season resort for skiing, snowboarding, sledding and more, just outside the city especially popular in winter.
Location: Shengshuitou Village, Henanzhai Town, Miyun District, Beijing.
Fees: Entry + skiing packages vary by time & day. For example: day skiing on weekdays starting at around CNY 200 for a couple of hours; full-day ~ CNY 400+ on weekdays; weekend or holiday rates higher (~CNY 580+).
4. Universal Studios Beijing- A modern theme-park resort offering rides, shows and international entertainment, ideal for a fun day out.
Location: Wenjing Subdistrict, Tongzhou District, Beijing.
Fees: One-day tickets start from about CNY 418 for adults (low-season); can go up to ~CNY 638 or more on peak days. 1.5-day and 2-day tickets cost more (e.g., 1.5-day around CNY 670+).
5. The Forbidden City (Palace Museum)the vast imperial palace complex in Beijing which served as China’s political centre for nearly 500 years; now a museum and major historic site.
Location: 4 Jingshan Front Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing (central city).
Fees: Tickets are about USD 16 (approx ~CNY 120-130 depending on exchange) for morning or afternoon session.
