Fragrant Hills Park, Beijing|A Must-Visit Stunning Golden World in Autumn🍂

As a local who has lived in Beijing for many years, the most anticipated time every autumn is the red leaf season at Fragrant Hills! The entire mountain turns golden yellow, breathtakingly beautiful. Now that there are fewer people, I’m sharing this secret guide with you~

🏞Must-Visit Attractions:
Fragrant Hills Park is definitely the top spot in Beijing for autumn viewing! The park has two classic routes:
1️⃣ South Mountain Route: Enter from the East Gate → Qinzhen Hall → Xiangshan Temple → Sen Yuhu → Xianglu Peak (mountain top)
This route offers the most spectacular yellow sumac forest, with golden views all along the way.
2️⃣ North Mountain Route: Enter from the North Gate → Biyun Temple → Glasses Lake → Zhao Temple
Fewer people here, perfect for those who prefer a quiet sightseeing experience.

📸 Photo Tips:
Best time is from late October to mid-November.
Xianglu Peak at the top is the best viewing platform with panoramic views of Beijing.
The big ginkgo tree in front of Qinzhen Hall is super photogenic.

🍁 Travel Suggestions:
Wear comfortable shoes! It takes about 1.5 hours to hike up.
You can take the cable car down (one way 100 RMB).
There are many ancient buildings in the park worth visiting.

🍜 Food Recommendations:
Be sure to eat at the nearby "Fragrant Hills Hotel" after coming down! Their roast duck and shredded pork in Beijing sauce are especially authentic.
Address: No. 29 Xiangshan Road, Haidian District
About 120 RMB per person, reservation recommended.

💡 Useful Tips:
The weather has recently turned cooler, so bring a jacket.
Smoking and drone use are prohibited in the scenic area.
Weekends are very crowded, try to visit on weekdays.
