Beppu|Meet Hell and Heaven in Beppu Hell Tour Intertwined with Hot Springs

If there is a hell, what would it look like? Beppu in Kyushu provides an imagination.
The sea hell looks like blue water and cool, but you would never imagine that its temperature is as high as 98 degrees. This is a natural wonder formed after the eruption of Mount Tsurumi thousands of years ago.
The one with the longest history in the entire hell tour is the Blood Pond Hell, which is the oldest natural hell in Japan. Every day, 1,800 liters of mud hot springs gush out. Because the color of the mud hot springs reflects blood under sunlight, it is associated with a blood pool. There is an interesting specialty here called "Blood Pool Ointment", which is made from blood pool mud. Because of the magnesium sulfate component in it, it was used as a medicine to treat skin diseases during war.
The Bai Chi Hell allows hell and the human world to coexist harmoniously through courtyard design. There are eight hells in the whole Hell Tour. Because they are scattered, it takes two or three hours to visit them slowly. You can buy a package ticket, plus a one-day ticket for Kamenoi Bus, to visit all the hells at once.
📍Address: 559-1 Kannawa, Beppu, Oita 874-0000 Japan
🚗Transfer to Kamenoi Bus at JR Beppu West Exit. It is recommended to check the bus schedule in advance to avoid waiting for the bus for too long.
