Experience rural life at Fujian Tulou

Fujian Tulou is a UNESCO World Heritage-listed residential complex.
The number of tulou structures standing in the mountainous areas is far greater than expected, and it's astonishing to see such large-scale constructions.

Upon entering a tulou, you'll find an ancestral hall at the center, which serves as a shrine for the clan. The interior of the tulou is breezy, making it pleasantly cool. Tulou come in various shapes and sizes, including circular and square designs. Some are still inhabited by villagers, while others operate as hotels.

For circular tulou, using a wide-angle camera is recommended to capture dynamic and impressive photos.

Inside the tulou, there are numerous shops where friendly villagers often offer tea. Tea, tobacco, and dried goods are local specialties and are sold everywhere.
