᪥Snow Scenery at the Sky Mirror Blue Pond in Biei Town᪥

#Japan Attractions

The snowy Blue Pond (Shirogane Aoi Pond) is a must-see attraction in the Furano and Biei areas of Hokkaido. The blue water of the lake is invisible, only white snow. The lake covered with snow is so beautiful.

It is said that the Blue Pond was formed when the Tokachi-dake volcano erupted and people built a dam to prevent mudslides, but it accidentally formed a large lake. The lake water comes from the Shirahige Falls, and the unique composition of the waterfall makes the lake water extremely colorful and varied. It’s a pity that I didn’t have the opportunity to see this incredibly beautiful lake this time.

For example, turquoise, emerald green, or cobalt blue. The color of the lake also changes with the changing seasons and the changes in wind, rain and clouds. It gradually became a beautiful lake, and the lake is located in the small town of Biei. I hope I’ll have the opportunity to come again in the future.

There is a free parking lot next to the Blue Pond, which is convenient for those who drive!
