Big Sur’s rugged coastline along California’s Highway 1 is one of the most stunning drives I’ve ever taken. Cliffs drop dramatically into the Pacific Ocean, with waves crashing below and the horizon stretching endlessly. Bixby Creek Bridge was iconic, but the real magic was stopping at overlooks where the beauty felt overwhelming. Hiking in Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park added redwoods and waterfalls to the coastal scenery. Sunset painted the sky and sea in dazzling colors. Big Sur is raw, wild, and impossibly beautiful — a must-have chapter in my #mytraveldiary.
