Cotswolds Day Trip

Cotswolds day trip! Took a train from London to Moreton-in-Marsh which took about 1.5 hours. Took a 40 minute bus ride on 801 from Moreton-in-Marsh to Bourton-on-the-Water. Able to pay on board of bus by tapping credit card (3GBP per ride). Easy to moderate hike from Bourton-on-the-Water to Stow-on-the-Wold through old towns in the Lower Slaughter and Upper Slaughter and fields of yellow flowers (about 8km, ~2 hours). Saw the door at St Edward's Church that was said to be inspiration for the Doors of Durin in Lord of the Rings! Took a 20 minute bus ride on 801 back to Moreton-in-Marsh. Chill at The Bell Inn which was the inspiration for The Prancing Pony in LOTR! Nice day trip with LOTR references plenty!
