Located at the southern tip of Yeongdo in Busan, Taejongdae is a magnificent natural gallery blending lush forests with rugged cliffs. A single step reveals towering sedimentary rock cliffs from the Cretaceous period, dramatically rising vertically towards the sea. Unique landmarks like Mangbuseok (Rock of Fidelity), Yeongdo Lighthouse, and sea caves add to the dramatic scenery that is uniquely Taejongdae. Named after King Taejong of the Joseon Dynasty, who is said to have enjoyed archery here, the scent of the sea and the sound of waves naturally invite deep breaths of relaxation. Visitors can ride the Danubi Train through the park or explore the forest trails and pebble-strewn coastal paths on foot. The panoramic view from the observatory, with its open sea stretching endlessly, is truly refreshing. Gazing at Oryukdo and Tsushima Island with the naked eye, while witnessing the marks left by centuries of waves and wind, offers an authentic 'Busan vibe' experience.
