The Seokdang Museum at Dong-A University is one of the university museums where you can deeply explore the history and cultural heritage of Busan. It boasts a much wider variety of artifacts and attractions than one might expect. Conveniently located in the heart of Busan, it is easily accessible, just a 10-minute walk from Toseong Station on the subway. The museum is housed in the former Gyeongnam Provincial Government building, making the architecture itself historically significant. Inside, the exhibits are organized into sections by era, from ancient times to the Joseon Dynasty and modern history, allowing visitors to get a comprehensive view of the lifestyles and cultures of each period. The museum features two National Treasures (the Gae-guk Wonjong Gongsin Nokgwon and Donggwoldo), calligraphy by independence activist Ahn Jung-geun, and other invaluable artifacts. With a collection of over 30,000 items, including treasures, registered cultural properties, and Busan Metropolitan City's tangible cultural assets, the scale of the collection is truly impressive.
