A meaningful historical experience with your family

Over the holidays, I visited Democracy Park and the Democracy Movement Memorial Hall with my children. While they weren't usually interested in history, the photos, artifacts, and interactive exhibits really sparkled their interest. Learning about the struggles and the intensity of the students and citizens of the 1980s, they realized that democracy isn't a distant, abstract concept, but something close to our lives. While listening to the explanations and viewing the exhibits, the whole family was reminded of the importance of remembering history.
