Check in at the Art Bay, A Guide to a Laid-back Seaside Vacation

Bringing my family to Rushi Sea Resort in Beidaihe, Qinhuangdao, which just celebrated its first anniversary. The several-kilometer-long beach is brimming with artistic vibes, featuring works from 18 international artists that blend seamlessly with the sea and sky. Playing and laughing here, you can also soak in the artistic ambiance—it's truly stylish. Unlike the bustling Aranya just five kilometers away, there are no overwhelming crowds of tourists, making it perfect for someone like me who prefers tranquility over large, noisy gatherings.

1⃣ How to Enter
📍Option 1: Guests staying at Hotel Indigo Beidaihe or Rushi Apartments can enter the resort directly.
📍Option 2: Purchase an Rushi Sea Experience Pass, which includes vouchers of corresponding value for use within the resort.

2⃣ Accommodation Choices
📍Hotel Indigo|Options include lake-view suites with private hot springs, plus wellness experiences like yoga, sound bowl therapy, fitness, and spa treatments.
📍Rushi Apartments|2 or 3-bedroom suites, just a 5-minute walk to the beach, with butler service—ideal for family vacations. You can even book a courtyard BBQ. This time, I chose a two-bedroom apartment for my family.

4️⃣ The resort town offers a full range of dining and entertainment options, including Japanese cuisine, BBQ, hot pot, seafood, and homestyle dishes. The Town Restaurant is a great value for all ages. There’s also a market, cafes, and recreational facilities, catering to both leisure lovers and sports enthusiasts.

5⃣ Must-Do Tips:
✅ Don’t miss the Orange Sea sunrise—it’s magical as the light rises over the water.
✅ The Red Bridge Pier offers a time-travel vibe, stunning both day and night.
✅ The 18 beach art installations blend with the sea and sky, and the cartoon art outside the Shark Girl store opposite the Red Bridge is super photogenic.
✅ Metal Hands Café, with its prime sea views, is ultra-chill.
✅ Diamond Skate Park: Neon lights at dusk + action shots (wide-angle lens recommended).
✅ Unkai Hidden Spring Terrace: Best shots at 11:00 or 16:00 when the light frames the sea and sky perfectly.

Summer by the sea, with its gentle breezes and azure waters, is incredibly soothing. I love the slow-paced, scenic life at Rushi Sea Resort—no rush, just pure enjoyment.
