Comeback | Phu Soi Dao 🌄
"Come alone, but you won't be lonely"
Ep.1 Conquer the peak of Phu Soi Dao
.
A return with a destination to conquer the 2,102-meter peak. This time, it's a solo trip without a private car. 🛵 I dare say that this place will not disappoint anyone.
.
This time, Nan traveled by train on the route Den Chai-Phitsanulok 🚂
Then take a car to the park using the shuttle service (400 baht)
For those who want to use the service, please contact Phi Keng: 083-850-8580 📞
On the way to the park, Phi Keng will stop for us to buy things at the fresh market of Pa Daeng Municipality 🥑 He will also stop for us to take pictures of the fog along the way 🥰 (I must say, this is just a teaser)
.
When you arrive at the park, contact the staff to pay the service fee:
🔺 Park entrance fee 40 baht/person
🔺 Tent pitching fee 30 baht/person/night
🔺 Porters up 30 baht/kg. | Down 30 baht/kg.
🔺 Peak climbing fee 500 baht/person
Since today there are only 3 people using Phi Keng's shuttle service
We all come from different places, but our destinations are the same.
Therefore, the 3 of us were arranged into the same group. 🫶🏼 (Group 561)
.
Let's go! ✌🏼
In the beginning, the steep path still has stairs to walk comfortably.
It is a path along the waterfall.
To conquer the pine forest, you have to walk through 5 slopes:
🔘 Sending relatives slope
🔘 Master's slope
🔘 Pa Ko slope
🔘 Tiger slope
🔘 Death slope
Which will have both flat and steep paths alternating. ➿
.
🔝Walking around, there were new members. 🤣
Let me tell you, "Come alone, no need to be afraid of being lonely."
After climbing the death slope for a while, I have to say that I hardly looked at any other view, except for the path. 🤣 It's really steep. Walking against the afternoon sun also gave us the strength to push forward.
.
The view along the way is really beautiful. 💚🌿
And then we arrived together as a group ~~
I don't know how long it took the others. But it took us 6 hours to walk from the starting point to the Phu Soi Dao Conqueror sign (because we wanted to save our bodies for the climb tomorrow) 🌲
.
From the Conqueror sign, we walked another 500 m to the tent site ⛺️
Register and rent bathroom equipment
The must-have items here are a dipper + bucket
Because you have to collect water from the tap and carry it into the bathroom by yourself
Let me tell you in advance, one bucket is not enough for anyone who wants to take a shower
(I personally brought a 5-liter emergency water bag, so don't worry)
.
At night, the weather starts to get cold. If you come alone and feel cold, I recommend you to warm yourself by the fire with the park officer. The officers are all friendly and lovely. 🥶
I want to say that the stars at night are so beautiful
