Chengde - Qingchuifeng/Hammer Peak National Forest Park!

📌 This is my top recommended activity for your next visit to Chengde! Here’s a suggested route to take.

🎟️ Get a taxi to the Qingchuifeng National Forest Park Tourist Center. Here buy tickets for to enter the park, as well as a one-way ticket for the ropeway. (There is the option to get a round trip ticket for the ropeway).

Full price ticket for entry: 25 yuan
Half price ticket for entry: 12 yuan
One-way ticket for ropeway: 50 yuan
Round trip ticket for ropeway: 80 yuan
Note: there is a more expensive entrance fee if you want access to the temples within the park.

🚠 We then took the ropeway up the hill (~20 minutes). From here, make your way up to the Sledge-hammer peak, going past the Baoshan temple. Some people head back and take the ropeway back down, but you can continue on along the path to walk back down to the bottom of the hill.

⛰️ There is only one path that is easy to follow and takes you past sights such as the Frog Crag. There are a number of pavilions to sit and rest in on the way, as well as toilet facilities. In total, the walk lasts around an hour and a half to get back to the car park.
