Recently visited Chengdu Jinmen Republic of China Town during the Tianfu Intangible Cultural Heritage Week. It was a great experience!
As soon as you step into the town, you are greeted by the Republic of China style, with rickshaws and small Western-style buildings, as if you have traveled back in time. The Intangible Cultural Heritage Week was bustling with activity, with the beautiful Shu brocade and the skilled craftsmanship of the weavers being particularly impressive. The palm weaving artists were like magicians, turning palm leaves into delicate objects.
There were also interactive experiences, such as learning embroidery from a Shu embroidery inheritor, which was fun despite being a bit clumsy. I also tried the Xindu osmanthus cake, which was soft, glutinous, and sweet.
In terms of food, in addition to classic snacks, the old Chengdu hot pot was also great. The Republic of China theater performances were wonderful, immersing you in the atmosphere of the Republic of China.
Finally, I went to the costume experience hall, put on a cheongsam, and took photos to capture the beautiful memories. This trip was both a taste of the Republic of China style and an appreciation of the charm of Tianfu's intangible cultural heritage. It was truly an unforgettable and interesting trip!
