People always say Chengdu is packed with tourists during the summer,
But honestly? That’s probably because you didn’t go to the right spots 😉
As a local, I’ve dug up some less crowded, super aesthetic places perfect for photos 📸🌿
If you’re planning a trip to Chengdu, this lovingly curated list of eats, hangs & hidden gems is a must-save 💌
📍 Chengdu’s Lowkey Photo-Worthy Streets & Spots:
Caojia Alley (曹家巷)
Shuwa Street (暑袜街)
Fanghua Street (芳华街)
Fangchi Street (方池街)
Dongsheng Street (东胜街)
Tianfu Art Museum (天府美术馆)
Jinshang Bridge (锦尚大桥)
No. 37 Hidden Alley (37巷子)
Blue Roof Art District (蓝顶艺术区)
🎒 2D1N Chengdu Itinerary (Local-Style):
🗓️ Day 1
Giant Panda Base → Go early & check if Hua Hua the panda is “at work” 🐼
People’s Park → Sip classic bowl tea like a local ☕
Dongsheng Street → Chill citywalk vibes
Wuhou Shrine + Jinli Ancient Street → Visit in the evening for magical night views 🌌
🗓️ Day 2
Chunxi Road → Taikoo Li → Wangping Street → Dongmen Bridge → Shuwa Street
All of these are in central Chengdu — easy to walk between or bike around 🚲
Especially Shuwa Street: it’s full of that nostalgic, old-Chengdu energy 🌆
There’s a century-old post office, and right next to it — a giant Panda Post mural wall that’s SO photogenic 🐼📮
You’ll find everything panda-themed: plushies, magnets, bags, keychains… cuteness overload!
You can also stamp postcards and even score a limited-edition panda postcard as a souvenir 💌
