The Delicate Beauty of Poppies

When the cicadas of Chengdu begin to softly chirp in the branches, the gentle summer breeze has quietly awakened flowers throughout the city, with various blooms blossoming in waves.

Recently, the poppies at Xinglong Lake have become Chengdu's "trending attraction," with numerous stunning flower-viewing photos flooding the internet.

Poppies, also called "Fairy Wormwood," were the main subjects of Monet's paintings, so people often refer to them as a real-life version of Monet's garden.

The thin petals,
delicate as silk and smooth as satin, form lightweight crowns resembling clusters of red clouds and colorful ribbons. Even without wind, they seem to sway, and when the breeze blows, they appear to float and almost fly.

The poppy flower sea is located on a small hillside by Xinglong Lake. Pink like clouds, red like flames,
white like fresh snow, and yellow like the sun—these four colors interweave in layers, extending all the way down the hillside, creating a beautiful contrast with the azure sky, the sparkling lake surface, and the surrounding buildings.

When the sun sets and the poppies meet the slanting evening light, you can capture a limited-edition sunset flower sea romance.

Flower viewing address: Xinglong Lake Wetland Park
Transportation guide: Exit from Xinglong Lake Metro Station Exit B, across from the lakeside plaza. Pass through a bridge tunnel and you'll see the flowers.
Viewing tips: Remember to appreciate and photograph the flowers without stepping on or picking them~
