Chengdu W, a luxury hotel with a futuristic twist

✈️ For my second night in Chengdu, I chose the W Hotel, transitioning from the business vibe of Grand Hyatt to W's club-like nightlife atmosphere—a unique experience indeed 🤗

📍 The location isn't the most convenient for visiting downtown attractions, as it's situated in the southern Jiaozi business district. However, it's great for shopping, with SKP mall just a short distance away.

🏨 The public areas stay true to W's signature style—more vibrant at night. Panda-themed decorations 🐼 in various forms are everywhere, and the giant LED water columns are particularly eye-catching after dark. The massive hanging calligraphy brushes in the lobby reception area also make for great photo backdrops.

🛏️ I stayed in a standard room this time, which felt less trendy compared to Xiamen W's rooms. A nice touch was the facial cleanser provided at the vanity—a rare amenity that scores extra points. The disposable slippers and bathrobes came in gray & pink, with the latter being quite flamboyant when worn 🫣

💁 Service was top-notch. The doormen and reception staff were exceptionally warm, especially the doorman who wished me a pleasant journey as I boarded my car upon departure 👍 The front desk team was not only good-looking but also highly efficient—full marks for service 💯

🍸 Highly recommend Spark Bar on the 28th floor—where the cover photo was taken. The drinks, ambiance, and service were all outstanding ✅

📝 In short, this stay was thoroughly enjoyable with many memorable highlights. Compared to Chengdu's other three Marriott luxury brands—The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, and JW Marriott—the W easily outshines them in every aspect.
