Rainy Day City Stroll at Chengdu Art Museum

Rainy days make me reluctant to go far 🥲🥲, but I unexpectedly discovered this hidden gem of an art space—highly recommended!

The Chengdu Art Museum is divided into two main areas, A and B:
A Area = Tianfu Art Museum, which focuses on modern art installations. Perfect for taking photos that look like masterpieces 📸
B Area = Contemporary Art Museum, which highlights traditional art and sculpture. Both areas have their unique charm, ideal for art enthusiasts ✨
Unfortunately, the B Area was closed for exhibition changes on the day I visited 🥲, but spending 2-3 hours in the A Area was already amazing, full of artsy vibes! The B Area is about a 5-8 minute walk away, so if you plan your time well, you can explore both museums in one trip.

There are also some lovely nearby spots where you can enjoy tea, rest your feet, and indulge in some desserts 🍵—truly relaxing!

【Visiting Reservation Guide】
- Search "Chengdu Art Museum" on WeChat → Select 【Reservation Service】-【Exhibition Reservation】
- You can choose A Area/Tianfu Art Museum or B Area/Contemporary Art Museum
- Passport information is required, and each person gets a unique reservation QR code (see example in image 13). Scan the code to enter ✅
- Reservations must be made at least one day in advance. For holidays, it's recommended to book earlier (popular dates may require booking a week ahead!)
- Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM (last entry at 7:30 PM); closed on Mondays
- Food and drinks are not allowed inside the museum, but free storage services are available at the entrance
- Plan to spend at least half a day to fully immerse yourself in the artistic atmosphere
