"Daigoji Temple"

Daigoji Temple is the place where Toyotomi Hideyoshi held a cherry blossom viewing party in 1598, and is famous as the "Daigo Cherry Blossom Viewing".

It consists of Sanboin Temple, Reihokan Temple, and Garan, and is a famous cherry blossom viewing spot where weeping cherry blossoms bloom beautifully during cherry blossom season🌸

It has many designated cultural properties such as national treasures and important cultural properties, and its five-story pagoda is the oldest in Kyoto.

It is also registered as a World Heritage Site.

🚌 Take Keihan Bus Route 86B from Sanjo Keihan to Daigo Sanboin

⏰9:00-17:00, 1st Sunday in December-February until 16:00

💰 1000 yen for adults, 700 yen for middle and high school students (Sanboin Garden and Temple)
Free admission to Reihokan Garden and Buddha Statue Building.
In spring (March 20th to the last day of Golden Week in May), admission is 1,500 yen for adults and 1,000 yen for junior and senior high school students (Sanboin Garden, Garan, and Reihokan Garden).
Special viewing of Sanboin Palace and special exhibition at Reihokan are 500 yen each for junior high school students and above, 600 yen for Kami-Daigo, and 400 yen for junior and senior high school students.
