Wandering around Chengdu Jinli Ancient Street and Kuanzhai Alley

Chengdu, nestled in the Sichuan Basin, is unbearably hot in the summer. We deliberately avoided the afternoon heat and opted for a late afternoon stroll through Jinli Ancient Street. Located next to the Wuhou Temple, the street was bustling with people and exuded a quaint, ancient atmosphere. Even well-known coffee shops have established locations here. Cultural and creative goods and souvenirs are sold along the street, along with local Sichuan snacks and street performers.

That evening, we headed straight to Kuanzhai Alley. While both are ancient streets, the architectural styles differ. Kuanzhai Alley is more reminiscent of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Naturally, we chose to take photos in both. Looking up, I saw the moon, and suddenly remembered the saying, "The ancient moon shines on the present."
