Train tickets priced at 55,900 yuan each sold out in an instant?

The train from Anjing Station in Chengdu to Kashgar in Xinjiang, filled with joy and laughter, has departed. This 'Panda Special Train - Chengdu' is a travel-exclusive train carrying 109 inaugural passengers. The train is scheduled to operate 10 times this year, with ticket prices starting at 55,900 yuan. As of now, all Xinjiang line products from May to October have been sold out, with 70% of the passengers being inbound tourists. The 'Panda Special Train - Chengdu' is jointly created by Chengdu Cultural Tourism Group and China Railway Chengdu Group Co., Ltd. The train consists of 18 carriages with a capacity of 108 seats, which can be flexibly converted into family rooms for three, accommodating up to 132 passengers. It features five types of carriages: lounge, dining, kitchen, entertainment, and sleeping cars, making long-distance travel more comfortable and enjoyable. The inaugural passengers include 109 people from countries such as the United States, Canada, Japan, and the Philippines, as well as from Beijing, Shanghai, Fujian, Sichuan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong in China. Among them, 65 are international tourists, accounting for 59.6%, and 80% of the passengers are over 50 years old.

The inaugural route of the 'Panda Special Train - Chengdu' is the 'Panoramic North and South Xinjiang Ultimate Journey,' starting from Anjing Station in Chengdu, passing through Lanzhou and Xining, traveling along the Golmud-Korla Railway to the first sightseeing stop in Kashgar, then through Kuqa and Yining, and ending in Turpan, forming an 8,000-kilometer golden tourism loop across North and South Xinjiang. The entire journey lasts 16 days and 15 nights. With a starting price of 55,900 yuan (approximately $7,700), the product is relatively competitive compared to international high-end travel products.
