A journey to the secret place hidden in the 800-year-old ancient village
The "Meilang Twin Towers" of the Yuan Dynasty are also called "Sister Towers"
They were built by Chen Daoxu, a villager in the Southern Song Dynasty, for his two daughters.
The tower is gray-black and made of local volcanic rock. There are statues of civil officials, military commanders and Buddha on the six sides. It has a sense of history.
The twin towers look like a small Angkor Wat under the reflection of green plants. There are many fish in the pool under the towers. You can buy fish food for 5 yuan to feed the fish. You can learn about the relevant history in the Twin Towers Museum next to it. Many unearthed stone tablets are found. However, the words on them are not very clear because they are so old. The scenic spot is not big. If you like history, you can go there on the way. It is not recommended to make a special trip. Attractions: Meilang Twin Towers, Sister Well, Meilang Museum, Meilang Ancient Village, Surrounding attractions: Daxie Waterfall, Luoyi Ancient Village, Sanqing Village, Haikou Volcano Group World Geopark, Visiting time: about 1 hour, Ticket price: 0 yuan, Parking: 0 yuan (parking space is tight during peak season).
