Stay at the Forest Castle in Yangtian Lake, Chenzhou! Private hot spring with an amazing grassland view

Who would have thought! Playing at Yangtian Lake in Chenzhou, staying at Yunyin Homestay was a total surprise—the red buildings hidden in the forest look like a castle from afar, and my kid immediately shouted, "It's a castle!"

The location is super convenient! Only 60 meters from Yangtian Lake Grassland, a 10-minute walk to the scenic area. After a tiring day, returning to the hotel is so hassle-free. The entire homestay looks like a Moroccan estate, with red walls and green trees—every photo looks like it was taken abroad~

Our room had a viewing balcony and a private hot spring pool! Sitting on the balcony, the view of Yangtian Lake grassland just fills your eyes. Watching the sunset in the evening is so healing, and soaking in the hot spring while feeling the mountain breeze at night melts away all the fatigue. The bathroom is equipped with a smart toilet and a Dyson hairdryer—such thoughtful details!

The public areas are fun too: there’s a swimming pool and a small garden, and on the second floor of the main building, there’s a pink sandpit. Bringing kids here is no problem at all—they can play in the sandpit all afternoon while we take photos nearby. You can easily spend a whole day without leaving the hotel.

The service is warm and welcoming! There’s welcome fruit and freshly brewed honey water, and the bellboy even carries your luggage straight to the room. Breakfast is served until 10 AM (a dream for late risers), with spicy fish noodles and Cantonese dim sum that are super delicious—I had two bowls of soup in a row~

Our package included tickets to the grassland and stream tracing, plus afternoon tea at Yunji Hotel, making it a great deal! It’s also convenient for self-driving guests, with free parking available at the hotel.

Photo tips: The sea of clouds is amazing between 7-8 AM, with soft lighting; in the evening, head toward Yunji Hotel to watch the sunset—the sky turns a beautiful orange-red! Wear light-colored dresses for photos; standing anywhere in the corridor or courtyard makes for stunning shots. When it rains, the sea of clouds is even more spectacular~

Staying here is truly healing: drinking tea on the terrace in the morning while watching the clouds roll by, and at night looking up at the stars 1,314 meters above—daydreaming becomes a serious activity~ This place is already on my annual favorite hotel list. Next time I come to Yangtian Lake, I’ll definitely stay here again! Sisters heading to Chenzhou, just go for it!
