This time in Chiang Mai, Wat Phalat is a temple that I really intended to visit. And I was not disappointed with the beauty and shady 🌳 of the temple. The atmosphere inside the temple is quiet and shady, surrounded by lush green nature. There is a small stream and waterfall. From the temple, you can see the view of Chiang Mai city.
Wat Phalat (Sakidakami) was built during the reign of King Ku Na to commemorate the fortune-telling to find a place to enshrine the Buddha's relics. According to the legend of the construction of the Doi Suthep Chedi, the elephant carrying the Buddha's relics traveled straight to Doi Oi Chang, west of the city. King Ku Na, along with Phraya Lithai from Sukhothai and the ministers, carried gongs and drums behind the elephant. When they reached the top of a mountain, the elephant stopped and knelt down. King Kun Na and his followers agreed that the relics should be enshrined there.
⏰ : Open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
