✨Wat Chedi Luang Worawihan✨
This ancient royal temple of Chiang Mai, also known by several other names such as Wat Chotikaram, was built during the reign of the 7th king of the Mangrai Dynasty. It has been designated as a historical site, with restoration efforts by the Department of Fine Arts. This temple holds great significance for the Lanna people, and occasionally hosts activities inviting tourists and locals to participate in morning and evening rituals.
The site also hosts the "Sai Khan Dok Bucha Wes Inthakhil" festival, where the beautiful Inthakhil pillar, located next to the Chedi Luang, is worshipped. During the festival, people place flowers in a tray to worship the Inthakhil pillar, praying for the city's protection from disasters and honoring their ancestors.
♥️You can ride a bicycle here. Like us, you can tour around the city. It might be a bit tiring, so bring some smelling salts!♥️
📍Location: Phra Pok Klao Rd., Si Phum Subdistrict
🕗Operating hours: 05:00 - 22:00
