Wat Chet Lin

Wat Chet Lin, Chiang Mai Province
🙏Or also known as "Wat Nong Charin" is an ancient temple located in the heart of Chiang Mai on Phra Pok Klao Road, near Chiang Mai Gate. This temple is over 500 years old and was built during the reign of Phra Mueang Kaew around 2060. It has an important history related to the Mangrai Dynasty, which used this place to perform the Buddha consecration ceremony before ascending to the throne.

🙏The temple's viharn is in the Lanna architectural style. Inside, there is a Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya attitude and Luang Pho Phra Chao Tan Jai, which are highly revered by visitors. Behind the viharn is a pavilion-shaped pagoda mixed with a round shape, which was influenced by Sukhothai architecture. There are Buddha niches in all four directions.

🌿At the back of the temple, there is a large pond and a bamboo bridge spanning the pond, which is a popular photo spot for tourists.
