built before 2060 B.E. (2060 CE) based on the discovery of an ancient poem called
"Krong Nirat Hariphunchai"
composed in 2060 B.E. (2060 CE) during the reign of King Muang Kaew, the 11th King of Chiang Mai.

▪︎ Inside the temple is a large chedi.
This chedi is a combination of square and round.
The decorative patterns on the chedi
resemble the patterns
decorating the archways.

and in the heart of Chiang Mai.
In the past, before the reign of Kings, they would come to perform Buddhist consecrations and bathing ceremonies
at the pond at Wat Chet Lin.

throughout the pond, which is a beautiful sight. During the New Year Festival, sand pagodas are built

for placing tung-tung flags and carrying sand to the temple.
