Wat Phan Tao

📍..Wat Phan Tao is an old temple in the old city of Chiang Mai, located on Phra Pok Klao Road, Phra Singh Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province.

🗒️..When walking, Chiang Mai people call it "Wat Pan Tao" (Thousand Times), which means making merit only once will bring back a thousand times the merit. But later, the word was distorted to "Phan Tao".

🛕..An important highlight that tourists should not miss is the Golden Teakwood Wihan or Phra Wihan Ho Kham Luang, which is built entirely from teakwood in the Chiang Saen style. Peacock patterns are carved on the pediment.

🗓️..Open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
And on Sundays, there is a walking street open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
