Wat Phan Tao

Wat Phan Tao is an ancient temple in Chiang Mai Province, located near Wat Chedi Luang. In the past, Chiang Mai people called it "Wat Pan Tao" or "Wat Pan Tao", meaning making merit only once but receiving merit in return a thousand times. It was later distorted to Phan Tao.

Inside the temple, there are 18-spire pagodas and golden teakwood chapels in the Chiang Saen style. The door arches are decorated with peacock-shaped wood carvings. Inside the chapel, there is the principal Buddha image, Phra Chao Pan Tao, in Lanna style.
