🏘Wat Buppharam, also known as Wat Uppa, Wat Uppa Nai, and Wat Meng, was built in 1497 by Phaya Kaew, who commissioned the construction of the temple in the village where his grandfather (King Tilokarat) was Crown Prince, and his father (Phaya Yot Chiang Rai) had previously resided.
🏕He named the temple Buppharam, referring to its location to the east of Chiang Mai.
