Worship the Chedi Luang | Wat Chedi Luang Worawihan | Chiang Mai

Wat Chedi Luang is located in the heart of Chiang Mai city, originally considered the administrative center of the Lanna Kingdom.
It was built during the reign of King Saen Mueang Ma, King Rama VII of the Mangrai Dynasty. The exact date of construction is unknown, but it is believed to have been built between 1385 and 1392 CE. It has undergone numerous renovations over the years. The chedi measures 60 meters on each side, making it one of Chiang Mai's most significant chedis. Currently, only half of the chedi remains, having been destroyed by a major earthquake during the reign of King Mahadevi Jiraprabha, King Rama XV.

Located at 103 Phra Pok Klao Road, Phra Singh Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province, the temple grounds encompass approximately 32 rai, 1 ngan, and 27 square wah.
