From Chiang Mai, Thailand to Pai, the backpacker's paradise

This is Bus Terminal 2 in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

It takes about 3 hours and 30 minutes from Chiang Mai to Pai, but since there is no other means of transportation, you have to take a minivan from the terminal. If you want to go to Pai, which is called a mecca for backpackers and a graveyard that you cannot escape from, motion sickness medicine is essential to cross the infamous 762 winding mountain roads. I used to be able to endure it without motion sickness medicine, but I bought some just in case because I ate at the terminal. Please note that there is a rest stop on the way!

Moving with more than 10 people in a minivan is a little difficult, but if you overcome the hardship, you will meet the warm and exciting Pai!

Tip. Try to protect the front seat as much as possible. The passenger seat is the best👍
