🛕 Huai Plakang Temple

Located on an area of ​​15 rai in Mueang Chiang Rai District, Chiang Rai Province, it was originally a monastery founded in 2001. It was later appointed as a temple in 2009, with Phra Athikarn Phobchok Tissawanso as the first abbot.

✨️ Currently, Wat Huai Plakang is a famous temple with many people from other provinces and abroad coming to pay homage and ask for blessings. Inside the temple, there is a 9-storey Phra Maha Phobchok Dharma Chedi, which enshrines a replica of the Bodhisattva Guanyin carved from fragrant wood and Buddha images on each floor. The large Bodhisattva Guanyin is 69 meters high, equivalent to a 25-26-storey building. You can take the elevator to the 25th floor to see the beautiful view of Chiang Rai.

In addition, the temple also has a beautiful white chapel with intricate stucco patterns.
