Wat Huay Pla Kang: Home of the Majestic Dragons and Panoramic Views

#thailandtrip #chiangrai #dragon
Wat Huay Pla Kang in Chiang Rai is a breathtaking temple complex that blends traditional Thai and Chinese architectural influences. The most striking feature is the massive white Guan Yin statue, standing 69 meters tall, which can be seen from miles away. We took an elevator to the top, where we were treated to panoramic views of the surrounding countryside through the eyes of the goddess. The temple also features a beautiful nine-tiered pagoda and a serene main hall adorned with intricate carvings. What fascinated us even more were the majestic dragon sculptures flanking the staircase—one male and one female, each with unique details that reflect their roles in mythology. How intriguing! The peaceful atmosphere and stunning artistry made our visit to Wat Huay Pla Kang unforgettable.
