Wat Rong Suea Ten, or the Blue Temple, is located on the banks of the Kok River in Mueang Chiang Rai District, just 3 km from the city. The temple was completed in 2016 by artist Phutta Kabkaew, a contemporary of Ajarn Chalermchai, who created the White Temple. What makes this temple unique is the deep blue and gold tones used both inside and out.

Visit in the morning (7:00–9:00 AM) or late afternoon (4:00–5:30 PM) for less crowds and the best light for photos.
