Choosing the right homestay for your trip to Yichang can double your travel happiness! Fanju 1790 is tucked away in the city center, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. It's just a ten-minute walk to Yiling Square, and there's a bus stop right downstairs, making it super convenient to visit attractions like the Three Gorges Tribe and Qingjiang Gallery.
The moment you step inside, you'll be pleasantly surprised! The rustic wooden decor paired with warm lighting creates a cozy ambiance, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer a view of the lively old town. The bedding is as soft as clouds, and even the mattress is made of latex, ensuring a stress-free sleep after a long day of travel. The private balcony, furnished with rattan chairs and a table, is perfect for enjoying a cup of tea in the morning or soaking up the sun in the evening, adding a homely warmth that hotels often lack.
The host is incredibly thoughtful, providing a detailed check-in guide in advance and even preparing local herbal tea. The bathroom is designed with separate wet and dry areas, instant hot water, and subtly scented plant-based shower gel.
The surrounding food scene is amazing! Just a three-minute walk away is a noodle shop that's been around for 20 years, serving signature beef noodles with tiger-skin eggs—a true taste of Yichang. After an evening stroll along Jiefang Road Pedestrian Street, you can grab a yogurt from the convenience store downstairs and relax on the homestay's cozy sofa while watching your favorite shows. It's so much more comfortable than staying in a hotel.
For just over 200 yuan, you get this level of quality—it's unbeatable value. When checking out, the host even gifted a Three Gorges-themed bookmark, showing great attention to detail. Next time I'm in Yichang, I'll definitely choose Fanju 1790 again!
