“The Blue Temple of Chiang Rai — Rong Suea Ten, an Architecture of Faith”

🌟 Reviews & Highlights

Wat Rong Suea Ten, also known as the “Blue Temple,” is a temple that stands out with its modern Thai design combined with contemporary art. The main highlight is the striking blue-dark blue color scheme of the viharn. Decorated with gold patterns and beautiful sculptures around the viharn, the temple gives the religious complex a lifelike and distinct dimension, unlike any other temple.

Inside the viharn, the Phra Phuttha Ratchamongkhon Bodhi Triloknath image is enshrined in pearl white against a striking blue background.

The artwork on the walls, pillars, and ceiling are meticulously detailed and captivating. This is perfect for those who appreciate fine art and RAW photography with a wide range of angles.

This temple was newly built by Sala Nok (Phutta Kabkaew), a local artist inspired by Ajarn Chalermchai. (Wat Rong Khun's creator)

Construction began in 2005 and was completed in 2016.
