The Golden Triangle, Chiang Rai

A must-visit tourist destination in Chiang Rai is the 'Golden Triangle'. The highlight of this place is definitely the view of all three countries: Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar.

Here, there is a large Buddha statue called the Phra Buddha Nawa Lan Tue, which is a newly constructed statue for locals and tourists to worship. (The original statue, believed by locals to be submerged in the Mekong River.) There is also a pier for tourists to enjoy the view of the Mekong River, and you can even take a boat to the Laos side.

Nearby, there is the Hall of Opium museum and many historical tourist attractions in Chiang Saen. If you're unsure where to go on a holiday, let Chiang Saen be one of your options.
