The hotel was designed by architect Bill Bensley, a California-born designer who moved to Bangkok in the late 1980s and has since left numerous masterpieces across Southeast Asia, including three Four Seasons properties in Thailand alone. The Golden Triangle Tented Camp is one of Bill Bensley's proudest creations and marks his debut in the wild luxury hotel category, setting the stage for later classics like Capella Ubud, Rosewood Luang Prabang, and Shinta Mani Wild in Cambodia.
