🏯 🍵 Small Wild Goose Pagoda

In the quiet of a summer morning, we wandered into the grounds of the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, where ancient bricks rose modestly above tranquil courtyards. Cicadas sang from nearby trees, and stone paths led us past delicate pavilions and lotus ponds that mirrored the soft blue sky. Inside the old pagoda, narrow staircases wound upward, cool and dim, whispering of centuries of monks and scholars who once climbed these same steps. 🏯🌿🎐

Later, we rested under broad mulberry trees, sipping cool hawthorn tea from a tiny teahouse tucked among bamboo. Bells from a nearby temple chimed lazily through the warm air. Unlike its grand sibling across town, this place felt intimately Xi’an, humble, serene, and touched by the poetry of simple summer moments. 🍵🪷☀️
