đŸ« Chocolate Paradise at the Airport – Royce’ Chocolate World, Hokkaido

New Chitose Airport feels more like a destination than just a transit point—and Royce’ Chocolate World is a big reason why. We made a stop here right after landing, and it was an unexpectedly fun and delicious experience.

Royce’, one of Hokkaido’s most famous chocolate brands, has created something really unique: the first chocolate factory and museum inside a Japanese airport. You can actually watch chocolate being made through glass windows—molded, cooled, and packaged in real-time. It’s fun for both kids and adults.

We also explored their mini chocolate museum, which had charming exhibits and vintage chocolate-themed displays. It gave us a little insight into chocolate history and Royce’s story. The attached bakery smelled heavenly, and we couldn’t resist picking up warm chocolate pastries straight from the oven.

Of course, we stocked up at the gift shop—there are many airport-exclusive items you can’t find elsewhere, like limited-edition Nama Chocolates and quirky chocolate souvenirs.

Whether you’re arriving in or leaving Hokkaido, this place is an absolute must for chocolate lovers. It’s a sweet stop that turns a travel day into something memorable.
