Conrad Chongqing - A Luxury Stay Experience in Nan'an District
🧹Soundproofing/Hygiene:
While meeting basic five-star standards in soundproofing and cleanliness, there's room for improvement in detailed management.
🏘️Room Type/Layout:
- Located in Nan'an District sharing a building with DoubleTree (same brand), surrounded by older architecture. Its tourist appeal is slightly less competitive compared to business-tourism hybrids like Regent Hotel.
- The sky lobby on 52F offers panoramic Chongqing views - a major highlight. Cloud View Deluxe Rooms feature bathtubs by windows with Yuzhong Peninsula skyline views. 270° rooms boast beautiful decor and spacious layouts, with suites providing telescopes.
- Inconvenient layout: Returning to rooms requires transferring elevators at 52F lobby. Only 3 elevators with occasional shaking cause long waits.
🛌Amenities/Facilities:
- Comfortable bedding and excellent rainforest showers, though some rooms had showerhead/scale issues.
- Public areas designed by CCD: photogenic drop-off zone day/night; 1F lounge with floral bear sculptures; emerald-themed elevator halls.
- AC cooling needs improvement - occasional warmth in corridors/lobby.
💗Tips:
1. Service: Housekeeping staff are warm/attentive, but overall service feels distant (few greetings, lack of guidance). Executive Lounge procedures need refinement (e.g. no food introductions, self-seating).
2. Dining: Executive Lounge offers only ~6 savory/sweet items with unclear tea service (mostly fridge drinks). 52F bar closes early at 23:00.
3. Membership perks: Mini bar has ¥68 unlimited drinks (check availability). Great for celebrity-watchers - suite telescopes are unique.
4. Logistics: Self-pickup for deliveries; responsive front desk calls. No dedicated breakfast venue for executive rooms - service lags behind peers.
Overall, as Nan'an's new luxury option, Conrad shines in views/design but needs service/facility refinements. Ideal for guests prioritizing unique vistas/room experiences over polished service.
