A must-stay hotel in Chongqing!!!

Conrad Chongqing

Chongqing has no shortage of quality hotels with great locations, but I specifically chose this newly renovated Conrad for my stay and had a wonderful experience.

🧹Soundproofing/Cleanliness:
The hotel has just been renovated with relatively new facilities and excellent hygiene conditions, offering a clean and comfortable overall living environment.

🏘️Room Type/Layout:

- The decor is cozy, less luxurious compared to the Waldorf but more focused on creating a relaxed living experience.
- Like many high-rise hotels, check-in requires taking an elevator, and reaching your room involves a transfer, making the process slightly cumbersome.
- The Christmas atmosphere was delightful, with thoughtful decorations creating a warm and cozy vibe.

🛌Amenities/Facilities:
The high-rise location provides expansive views. Although the southern area's scenery and night views are relatively ordinary, the open vistas still offer a pleasant sensory experience.

💗Additional Tips:

- Location-wise, there are fewer nearby attractions for tourists. It's about a 25-minute drive to Yuzhong District or around 50 minutes by metro, with the metro station a short distance from the hotel, making transportation slightly less convenient. If tourism is your main goal, Yuzhong District offers more hotel options. While older, they boast superior locations.
- The dining experience is outstanding. The happy hour is quiet and comfortable, unlike the crowds at other hotels, with well-controlled food quality. The steak was delicious, and the staff even prepared a whiskey sour for me—very thoughtful! Breakfast was abundant, featuring local snacks like xiaomian, wontons, and beef soup, catering to diverse tastes, though the prawns were slightly fishy.
- The service was attentive. Upon check-in, I received an adorable "Xiong Qi" (Chongqing dialect for "cheer up") bear, rose petals arranged in the room, and a fun duck toy. Every stay at Conrad brings different experiences and little surprises.

Summary:
Conrad Chongqing is newly renovated with a comfortable style, offering attentive service and delightful surprises. The dining quality is high, and the high-rise views are expansive, making it ideal for guests seeking a comfortable stay. However, for tourists prioritizing convenience to attractions, Yuzhong District hotels might be a better choice. That said, Conrad remains a quality hotel worth experiencing.
