Shibati, which translates to "Eighteen Steps," is a pedestrian street in Chongqing's Old Town. This area is lined with ancient stone steps and traditional Chinese architecture. Along both sides, you'll find restaurants, souvenir shops, handmade goods, and milk tea shops. There are five zones: A, B, C, D, and E. The area is quite large, and the atmosphere feels like stepping back in time. In the evenings, they perform live music for strollers. We loved it, especially at night, when it's beautiful and a perfect place to stroll. This area is bustling with activity.
✨Shibati Highlights:
- Ancient stone steps, old wooden houses
- Source of Chongqing's signature "Mala" (spicy hot pot) food
- A photo spot for Chinese architecture
- Art and music performances
- Vintage-inspired cafes
- A collection of handmade souvenirs
📝Recommended time: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM for the best light show.
🚇: Take Line 1 or Line 2 and get off at Jiangchangkou Station (较场口), Exit 11.
